Is it too late to say Happy New Year? Hmm, fuck it, i’ll say it anyway: HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope you’ve had a lovely start to 2020 ♥️ I travelled to Colombia at the end of last year to spend some time with my family (did ya know i’m half Colombian?). It was an amazing 3 week trip, with lots of highs and a few lows. I’m thinking of writing a blog post about Medellin, my new favorite South American city… would ya read it? Anyway, i’m BACK in Santiago & ready to get back into a much needed routine. As I mentioned in my last newsletter, I’ve started recording podcast episodes and will keep you updated on the launch of the podcast (soooon) ✨ |

To Love and Let Go by Rachel BrathenRachel (@yoga_girl) has been my inspiration for over 4 years; I take her yoga classes online, & listen to her podcasts religiously. So when I found out she had released her book, I knew I had to get it. I read it in about 2 days. I cried AT LEAST 7 times. My family bullied me for reading books that made me cry on holiday, but there’s honestly nothing better than a book that makes you feel things so deeply, you find yourself gasping for air & constantly wiping away tears. Whether you’ve experienced grief of a loved one, a pet or none of the above, I highly recommend this memoir. |
Conversations with Friends by Sally RooneyThis story grasped me from the start and it was quite the page-turner, in the best literary novel sense. I loved the dialogue, the flawed characters, & the modern relationships portrayed in the novel. It’s a very 21st century take on topics like sexuality, marriage, infidelity & friendship. I really enjoyed the first-person narrator, Frances, & found myself loving & hating her simultaneously. Do yourself a favor & read it! |

I’ve been listening to this album on repeat for almost two years now and it never gets old. This is also the kind of album I can recommend to a 20 year old and a 50 year old and they’ll both genuinely enjoy it and be like “WHO IS THIS?”. Hope you enjoy it too :)) |

Enter: Sex Education. This Netflix show is GIVING ME LIFE and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s so much more than a teen comedy. Not only is the storyline great, and the character arcs UH-MAZING, but I’m learning SO MUCH. I’m just sad this show wasn’t around when I was a teenager. How different my sex life would be if I had had access to this funny, informative and heartwarming content back in the day! Anyway, you’ve probably heard of this show already, and if you haven’t, I beg you, Subscriber First Name, PLEASE WATCH IT NOW!!

Veggie milks are on the rise and that makes my heart (and the planet) so happy! But despite the fact that all milk alternatives are better for the planet than dairy, not all of them are necessarily good for the planet. I recently read an article that ranks vegetable milks, and the data is pretty clear: we should probably steer clear from Almond and Coconut Milk. “Almond milk requires more water to produce than soy or oat milk. A single glass requires 74 litres - more than a typical shower.” Apparently, the increase in the demand of Almond Milk is also causing damages to the global bee population (poor bees cannot get a break haha 😅). So, if you’re like me & wanna drink yummy vegan milk but still feel like you’re helping the planet, stick to OAT MILK :) You can usually buy Oat Milk in the same places you get your Almond Milk. It’s also incredibly easy to make, try for yourself! I’ve been having oat milk with my coffee on the daily for over a year now and there’s no going back :)) |
